There is no hack for finding a position, please be honest in every interaction.
Questions you might want to ask them. (Always have a question or two to ask at the end of an interview.)
- What do you like about your job?
- Can you describe the culture of your company?
- Does your team do anything to bond or build moral?
- What was a moment at your job that caused you pride?
- What was a moment at your job where you felt really defeated?
- How does your company handle raises and promotions?
- Bonus: Any questions you came up with while listening to their introduction.
- Bonus: Any questions you came up with while going through the Coding or Design Challenges.
This list is clearly not exhaustive, but other than that last question, notice that these are focused on the interviewer and not the company ~ But they DO tell you a lot about the company. People have an easier time speaking about themselves than a large company, so it is a great way to try.
